Nominations Now Open for the King Charles III Coronation Medal

Nominations are now open for the King Charles III Coronation Medal honouring the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, which took place on May 6, 2023, and I need your help.

As the Member of Parliament for Nanaimo – Ladysmith, I am pleased to participate as a nominating partner with the Governor General of Canada. I have been allocated with 20 medals to present to deserving recipients in our Nanaimo – Ladysmith communities.

I am inviting individuals to nominate outstanding Nanaimo – Ladysmith community members who have made a difference in our communities for consideration for a King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Eligible candidates must meet the following national criteria:

Consideration will be given to residents of Nanaimo – Ladysmith. Particular emphasis will be given to our local unsung heroes who have never received a national honour for their efforts, and who highlight themes that both King Charles III and Canadians hold dear, including service to others, protection of the environment, youth empowerment, and the importance of diversity.

To nominate a community member, please complete the nomination form (link below). In addition to the nomination form, you may also submit a supporting document with additional information and/or outlining the reasons for your nomination (maximum of one page with no more than 500 words). All nominations and supporting documents must be submitted in PDF format.
